Research at the Monroe County Buettner Glades points to the need for management and preservation of glade communities in our area. Similarly, ongoing research of floristic communities at Salt Lick Point Land and Water Reserve since the May 2011 BioBlitz at that site, highlight to need for continuing efforts to understand the nature of and to continue stewardship work for these areas.  Additional research on fauna within glade communities would yield valuable additional information.
